Set in Nairobi, RUSH is a half-hour inspirational documentary-styled, reality based drama following the engaging tale, personal stories and interlinked life experiences of four confident and cosmopolitan young women from Kenya, who together make up a close circle of friends. The main character (leading hero) in the series is Pendo Odama. She is the owner of a magazine, “RUSH”. The RUSH television series is centered on women empowerment and gender equality of African women and modern men supporting the empowerment of women.The series aims to raise awareness and tackles relevant and modern social issues like gender equality, sexuality, promiscuity, and femininity, interlinked with lifestyle topics such as fashion, healthy eating, music, traveling, celebration of life, friendships, relationships and giving back to the world and community.
